welcome!
Hey friend! So grateful you are here! I hope you enjoy this process!
START HERE:
You will be securing your necklace to a surface with pins as you work. This surface can be made using cardboard (as seen in the directions below) OR you can use corkboard, thick styrofoam, or a macrame board. I found my macrame board on Amazon at this link!
Supplies included with your kit:
4 strands of cotton cord
1 antique brass hoop
1 leather cord
3 pins
Supplies you will need:
White dry-clear craft glue (like Elmers white liquid glue)
Fine-tooth comb
Cardboard box (or corkboard, styrofoam, or macrame board)
Tape
Scissors
Helpful tips:
1. You can use an old towel for combing the necklace on, or a hard surface like a countertop that will be easy to clean.
2. If you have more than one kit and a range of colors, mix up separate glue mixtures so the bright colors don’t bleed onto the light colors.
3. Depending on the color cord, the glue mixture may cause a slight color change. If this bothers you and you would like to dip the entire necklace (try to avoid getting the brass hoop wet) into the mixture, please do! It won’t hurt the necklace, but will take several days to dry completely.
See the video tutorial here, or see step-by-step images below! Enjoy and have fun!
